TEM, Incorporated (TEM) was founded in 1985 to provide analytical and consulting services to the environmental market. Its founder and current president, Mr. James Tuinenga, is a Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) with over nineteen years experience in the field of environmental chemistry. Mr. Tuinenga directs a staff of professionals working on a wide range of environmental projects. TEM’s laboratory is a full service asbestos laboratory and is fully accredited for airborne asbestos analysis and bulk asbestos fiber analysis. This accreditation is awarded by the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) through the National Voluntary Laboratory Accreditation Program (NVLAP). Additionally, TEM is an Illinois Environmental Protection Agency (IEPA) certified laboratory for asbestos in potable (drinking) water, a State of Illinois contract laboratory for asbestos in potable water and prequalified with the Illinois Capital Development Board. |
